NURS 227S - Pediatric Clinical Experience

Prerequisite(s): NURS 200, NURS 200A, NURS 200S, NURS 198, NURS 198A, NURS 232
Corequisite(s): NURS 227 If a student must withdraw from NURS 227S, they must also withdraw from NURS 227.
This course includes the clinical simulation and clinical practicum that apply to basic nursing concepts. The emphasis is placed on scientific nursing practice, basic human needs, and the care of clients with diverse needs.

The course contains a total of 52.5 clinical placement hours for the following programs.

· Accelerated Second Degree Nursing, B.S.

· Accelerated Second Degree Nursing, B.S. (Weekend Program)

· Nursing, Traditional Nursing Program, B.S. (Transfer and Readmit Students from Spring 2025 and prior)

The course contains a total of 45 clinical placement hours for the following program.

· Nursing, Traditional Nursing Program, B.S.
