Students wishing to report an emergency should call 914-674-9999 or 911; for general security assistance in a non-emergency situation call 914-674-7225 .
The Mercy University CARE Team
The purpose of the CARE Team (Concern, Assessment, Response, Evaluation) is to serve as a collaborative group focused on prevention and early intervention for students experiencing serious distress or engaging in harmful or disruptive behaviors. Through an online reporting form available to the Mercy University community the CARE Team will be alerted to students of concern and will be able to review, assess, and make recommendations for how to best assist reported students. The Team aims to intervene and assist students in meeting their academic, personal, and professional goals at the University.
CARE referrals are monitored between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The CARE Team does not serve as a crisis response unit, it does not replace Campus Safety’s response to an incident, and it does not replace faculty classroom management. If there is an emergency that involves an imminent risk of harm to self or others, please contact campus Safety and Security at 914-674-9999 or by dialing 911.

Students with Disabilities
The Office of ACCESSibility provides Accommodations, Collaboration, Consultation, and Educational Support Services to students with disabilities. Our mission is to collaborate with and empower students to achieve equal access to education and campus life. ACCESS offers resources and opportunities that support the development of self-advocacy, self-efficacy, and adaptive skills—all essential tools for overcoming barriers related to a disability.
Students whose disabilities may require accommodations must self-identify by completing an Application for Accommodations and providing supporting documentation, as requested. This documentation helps the ACCESS office understand how the student’s disability impacts them in an academic setting and how it relates to the accommodations being requested. The review process is collaborative and conducted on a case-by-case basis. In some instances, a follow-up meeting with ACCESS staff may be necessary to clarify needs and finalize accommodations.
Students are encouraged to register with the Office of ACCESSibility as soon as they have confirmed Mercy University as their school of choice. Early registration helps ensure that any necessary accommodations are in place in a timely manner. Students are also welcome to visit the ACCESS office at any point during the semester for support or to discuss any questions related to their accommodations.
For more information, please contact the Office of ACCESSibility:
