FINC 450 - Applied Res Analysis Finance Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Prerequisite(s): ENGL 112 ; ECON 125 ; FINC 235 , MATH 122 , and any 3 Finance specialization courses and Program Director Approval. This advanced corporate finance course offers a rigorous, applied approach to strategic financial decision-making in both domestic and international contexts. Students examine how corporations manage capital structure, investment policy, dividend distribution, and risk under real-world constraints. Through the lens of contemporary financial theory, topics such as time value of money, valuation of securities, international capital budgeting, and financial options are explored. The course integrates accounting insights with financial modeling techniques to evaluate investment and financing decisions in complex environments. Students should have completed 3 of their specialization courses before registering for FINC 450. Course should be taken in senior year.
