Bachelor of Science

Business Administration with Concentration in General Business  
General Education Requirements*  42 credits
Major Concentration  60 credits (9 credits in Econ counts towards LAS)
Open Electives  18 credits
Total 120 credits

*Per New York State Education Department requirements, all students enrolled in a Bachelor of Science program must successfully complete 60 credits of Liberal Arts and Sciences coursework. If needed, students should use Open Elective credits to fulfill these requirements, beyond their General Education courses, and look for courses with the “LA” attribute when registering.

 

**ECON 125 , ECON 220 , ECON 221 , and ECON 230 , MATH 116  and MATH 120 /CISC 120  or MATH 131 /CISC 131  are Prerequisites for the major and must be used to fulfill general education requirements.

***ECON 115   is mandatory for Freshman undergraduates in the Fall or Spring semester (for all Business Professionals). Not required of Business Honors Students.

There is a 15-credit residency requirement in the major, which must be satisfied by Business Administration courses numbered 295 or above, or Accounting courses numbered 240 or above.

Students who do not have full-time jobs should try to use their open electives for an internship.

  • Students select Twelve additional credits from courses numbered 295 or higher within the following: 

    • Accounting (ACCT)
    • Economics (ECON)
    • Entrepreneurship (ENTR)
    • Finance (FINC)
    • International Business (INBU)
    • Management (MGMT)
    • Marketing (MKTG)
    • Sport Management (SPMG)
  • And 

  • (mandatory for specialization)
  • (senior-level cap-stone course — mandatory)
