CNSL 655 - Counseling and Application II Credit(s): 3 3 semester hours Prerequisite(s): CNSL 650 A hands-on study of counseling techniques with emphasis on clinical case materials, specific settings and applications, and in-class role-playing. Students learn to develop skills of interviewing, responding, listening, and helping clients develop insight. Each student will be given an opportunity to increase his or her intellectual understanding of the broad range of philosophies, empirical findings, and counseling theories that abound in the profession.
