VETC 375 - Principles of Large Animal Medicine Credit(s): 4 Prerequisite(s): VETC 256 , VETC 256A , VETC 258 , VETC 300 , VETC 306 , VETC 306A , VETC 320 ; VETC 341 ; VETC 350 ; VETC 350A ; VETC 360 . This course introduces students to fundamental large animal nursing skills and husbandry. Students learn to properly restrain, conduct a physical examination, and administer medication to farm animal species. Registration with permission of the Program Director. Note: Preference for registration in this course will go to graduating seniors. Students should anticipate taking the didactic portion of this course online during the spring semester followed by a one-week, hands-on portion at SUNY-Delhi in the summer. Students are responsible for transportation to and accommodations at SUNY-Delhi. Offered Summer semester only.
