NURS 405 - Transition to Professional Nursing Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact (Traditional) This course is designed to facilitate the graduating nursing student’s entry into the profession. It includes study of the ever-changing health care delivery system and the nurse’s evolving roles, responsibilities, and scope of practice within it. Accountability for one’s own evidence-based practice is stressed. Nursing skills will be validated for transition to professional role. NCLEX preparation and applications for testing and licensure are completed. This course will be taken during a student’s final semester of their program.
