NURS 220 - Pharmacology Nurses Lecture Credit(s): 2 2 hours lecture, 2 hours contact (Accelerated, Accelerated Weekend, Traditional Transfers & Readmits from Spring 2025 and prior) Prerequisite(s): NURS 367 Corequisite(s): NURS 220A If a student must withdraw from NURS 220A , they must also withdraw from NURS220. This course examines pharmacotherapeutic agents used in the treatment of illness and the promotion, maintenance and restoration of wellness in diverse individuals across the lifespan. Emphasis is on the principles of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and pharmacogenetics in the treatment of selected illnesses. The focus is on concepts of safe administration and monitoring the effects of pharmacotherapeutic agents. Note: Failure in didactic (grade less than C+) will result in repeating the course when offered.
