3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact
This course offers business students a comprehensive and critical foundation in management and organizational theory, preparing them to lead effectively in today’s complex, dynamic, and interconnected environments. Students will explore the evolving role of management by engaging with classical and contemporary theories, including political economy, transnational organization, and inequality frameworks, to understand how organizations function and adapt in both local and global contexts.

Special focus will be placed on knowledge work, project-based structures, and the real-world challenges managers face in leading diverse teams, making ethical decisions, and navigating organizational change. Through readings, case studies, and experiential workshops, students will be expected to think critically and reflect on their own leadership values, contributing compassionately to both organizational success and societal wellbeing.
