OCTR 214A - OTA Practice:FW 1-Adult/Mature Credit(s): 1 1 hour lecture, 1 hour contact Prerequisite(s): OCTR 201 , OCTR 203 , OCTR 204 , OCTR 260 , OCTR 260A Corequisite(s): OCTR 206 , OCTR 207 , OCTR 218 , OCTR 214 This course is required for all students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. The program’s emphasis on critical thinking and active problem-solving in clinical practice is further reinforced through the fieldwork courses. The course builds upon the material learned in OCTR 214: OT Practice for the Assistant: Adulthood and Maturity. Consistent with the curriculum focus on the developmental process, participants will be introduced to typical and atypical development from age 22 through the end of life. Students will develop skills in observation, communication, and clinical reasoning skills. Offered spring term only.
