OCTR 260A - OT Practice for the Assistant: Credit(s): 1 1 hour lecture, 1 hour contact Prerequisite(s): All required general education courses. Corequisite(s): OCTR 201 , OCTR 203 , OCTR 204 , OCTR 260 This course is required for all students in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. The program’s emphasis on critical thinking and active problem solving in clinical practice is further reinforced through the fieldwork courses. The course builds upon the material learned in OCTR 260: OT Practice for the Assistant: Childhood and Adolescence. Consistent with the curriculum focus on the developmental process, participants will be introduced to typical and atypical development in the first 21 years of life, students will develop skills in observation, communication and clinical reasoning skills. Offered fall term only.
