HLSC 396 - Evaluating Health Promotion Pr Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Prerequisite(s): HLSC 200 , HLSC 202, HLSC 395, PSYN 370 This course provides students with a foundation in qualitative and quantitative evaluation standards for health promotion education programs. Students will learn the importance of incorporating appropriate evaluation methods during program planning and development stages. Identification and application of evidence-based tools and metrics will be covered, as students analyze data provided during hands-on exercises, and incorporate cutting-edge technology in program evaluations. Group and individual projects, tests and class activities will reinforce content learning. Deeper learning of program evaluations will also build upon student applications in their capstone course.
