EDUC 648 - Dmsns of Lrng & Ltrcy Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Perspective on the interdisciplinary views of how children learn, including students with special needs. Students will understand the cognitive (memory, perception, critical thinking), social (group uses of literacy, literacy as a cultural tool), and linguistic (language systems, language variation) interrelationships in the development of literacy. Ten hours of fieldwork required.
