CNR Teach Out Liberal Arts and Sciences, B.A.

This program is exclusively for and limited to continuing College of New Rochelle students as part of a teach out plan filed by The College of New Rochelle and approved by the New York State Education Department and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. This program cannot accept new students and the teach out of this program will be terminated as of September 1, 2023.

Starting in fall 2021, continuous enrollment is required to continue in the teach out programs.

Students who are part of the teach out must complete their academic program of study and have their degree conferred before the termination date of the teach out program.  Mercy College will be unable to award a teach out degree as of September 1, 2023.

Note: All CNR Teach-Out students must adhere to the Academic Regulations, Policies, and Procedures of Mercy College. Please see the Academic Regulations and Procedures and Student Policies  section of this catalog for more information.

Students must follow the curriculum for the Liberal Arts and Sciences, B.A. depending on their program start date at CNR; Spring 2019 or Prior to Spring 2019. 
Students also choose an Area of Interest in Communications, Letters, Psychology, or Social Sciences

Students will take between 30 and 39 elective credits based on their writing placement.

2. Curriculum for Students who began the program Prior to Spring 2019


Credits: 36


Elective Courses


Students will take between 24 and 38 elective credits based on their writing placement. 

Credits: 24-38
