This program is exclusively for and limited to continuing College of New Rochelle students as part of a teach out plan filed by The College of New Rochelle and approved by the New York State Education Department and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. This program cannot accept new students and the teach out of this program will be terminated as of May 30, 2021.
Note: All CNR Teach-Out students must adhere to the Academic Regulations, Policies, and Procedures of Mercy College. Please see the Academic Regulations and Procedures and Student Policies section of this catalog for more information.
Students who were enrolled in the Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) program and are continuing in the Teach-Out are eligible for this certificate. Students who are matriculated in the B.A. Liberal Arts and Sciences degree (formerly the B.A. School of New Resources) utilize electives in the degree program to take the CASAC curriculum. Upon completion of the coursework, students will be awarded the B.A. Liberal Arts and Sciences and the CASAC certificate.
