The 15-credit Advanced Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) permits qualified applicants, who have a Master’s degree in Education, and who hold a teaching certificate in certain acceptable disciplines, to earn initial / professional certification in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. This certificate requires completion of the four courses listed below, a clinical practicum experience in ESOL classrooms, documentation of 12 credits in a language other than English, and successful completion of the Content Specialty Test in ESOL.
