Students who choose the major in Behavioral Science with a specialization in Community Health must complete:

• BHSC 226 -  Computers Soc/Behv Sciences
• BHSC 271 -  Med Sociology: Hlth Care Modrn
• BHSC 348 -  Methodology Soc/Beh Sciences
• BHSC 426 -  Classics Soc/Beh Sciences
• PSYN 232 -  Health Psychology
• SOCL 308 -  Hlth Care Organizat/Management
• SOCL 366 -  Medical Ethics
• Plus any four elective courses selected under advisement from the major offerings in psychology and/or Sociology numbered 200 and above

Note(s)

At least two major courses in psychology and two major courses in sociology must be completed in residence at Mercy College. BHSC 370 - Stats Socl/Behv Sciences  is recommended for students planning to attend graduate school. BHSC 399 - Internship Soc/Beh Sciences /PSYN 399 - Internship Soc/Beh Sciences /SOCL 399 - Internship Soc/Beh Sciences  is recommended.

There is an 18-credit residency requirement in the major of Behavioral Science.
PSYN 101  and SOCL 101  are Prerequisites for the major courses in psychology and sociology and fulfill part of the General Education requirements.
