VETC 375A - Principles of Large Animal Medicine Laboratory Credit(s): 1 3 semester hours lab Prerequisite(s): VETC 101 , VETC 256 , VETC 256A , VETC 258 , VETC 300 , VETC 306 , VETC 306A , VETC 320 , VETC 340 , VETC 341 , VETC 350 , VETC 350A , VETC 360 , VETC 375 . This lab course introduces students to the fundamental large animal nursing and husbandry skills which are necessary to provide veterinary care for farm animals in a modern veterinary large animal practice. Students learn to properly restrain, conduct a physical examination, and administer medication to farm animal species. Registration with permission of the Program Director. Note: Preference for registration in this course will go to graduating seniors. Students should anticipate taking VETC 375 Principles of Large Animal Medicine Lecture online during the spring semester that precedes this summer course. Students are responsible for transportation and accommodations.
