SOWK 436 - Social Work in Health and Mental Health Services
Credit(s):3 Prerequisite(s):SOWK 322. This course provides an overview of health and mental health settings and the current policies that affect the delivery of services. Emphasis is placed on the major roles carried out by social workers in work with clients and with interdisciplinary staff. Students are familiarized with the range of problems that affect this population and their families and learn strategies and methods for offering help.
