MEDA 209 - Film and Culture (cc) Credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): ENGL 111 . Introduction to the development of film genres and the traditions associated with special types of storytelling with attention given to formal analysis. This course examines the film industry including the people who made movies and those who censored them. There will be an introduction to ethnicity, social classes, along with human sexuality and gender as presented in movies from its earliest years along with the basics of writing about film.
