A multidisciplinary survey of issues of particular concern to counselors working with culturally diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities. Topics covered include culturally sensitive counseling, the psychology of prejudice, social implications of discrimination, culturally different learning styles, multicultural factors in development, working with underserved clients and students, and values clarification. Additionally, students will explore clinical mental health counseling interventions designed for diverse populations.
