EDSA 555 - Ed Finance & Management

Federal, state, and local support of education will be analyzed in this course. The influence of economic, political, and demographic factors on the financing of education will be explored. Principles and practices of sound school business management will be emphasized in relation to sound accounting and budget procedures and the equitable allocation of resources in a diverse society. The construction of individual school budgets and their relationship to the district budget will be considered.
Eighteen hours of focused field experience required.
