PSYN 226 - Data Management in Behavioral Science Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Cross-Listed With: BHSC 226 , SOCL 226 Prerequisite(s): CISC 120 /MATH 120 or equivalent and COMM 110 . This course explores the intersection of technology and behavioral science in the context of evidence-based practice and research, equipping students with the necessary skills to make informed decisions and critically think with and about data. It emphasizes the evaluation of diverse data sources, data collection, utilizing software tools for basic data analysis, interpreting and reporting quantitative and qualitative data, ethical considerations, and real-world applications of data analysis. The course also addresses current and emerging technology including AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools.
