MEDA 258 - Fundamentals Writing Film/TV Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Prerequisite(s): ENGL 111 This course is about the basic craft of storytelling for the screen; traditional dramatic structure in a visual medium. Issues addressed include the premise, dialogue, characterization, and narrative plot structure. Class work will include workshop discussion of short writing exercises, the examination of professional scripts, and discussion of exemplary professional films and TV programs.
