MEDA 213 - Hollywood’s Gldn Age:1930-1950 Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Prerequisite(s): ENGL 111 . This course is a study of the formative years of Hollywood as the film capital of the world; the rise of institutional glamour, the star system, the “Hollywood” story, all encapsulated by the Hollywood production system. Included are the influences of actors, directors, genres as well as the Hayes Code and their influences on cinematic language and technique.
