HONR 490 - Honors Capstone Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Prerequisite(s): JRSM 301 or JRSM 390 or HONR 390 . Satisfactory progress in the Honors Program, for Honors students only. In the Capstone course of the Honors Program, students develop a project (e.g. research paper, creative work laboratory experiment, community-based learning project, etc.) that explores a topic of intellectual or social significance from an interdisciplinary perspective. Under the guidance of a faculty member, students craft innovative questions, investigate the relevant scholarly literature, select appropriate methods for executing the project (individually or in teams), and present their findings to a public audience. Time commitment for the course will vary depending on the type of project and will be coordinated with the faculty member.
