ENTR 400 - New Ventures I Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Prerequisite(s): ENTR 320 . This course focuses on the identification and evaluation of a new business venture opportunity. The aim of the course is to recognize a potential new product or service with an objective of how to create a new business enterprise surrounding that product/service to realize the value of the opportunity. Students will explore ways to evaluate the viability of opportunities by identifying market and competitive factors, and the targeted customer base, along with the creation of a business plan for approval. Students will gain a better understanding of an entrepreneurial environment, team building, and business development.
