CNSL 693 - Self-Esteem Issues in Counseling Credit(s): 3 3 semester hours This course will present a variety of methods for building personal and professional self-esteem for counselors, teachers, and other school and mental health personnel. Developmental aspects of self-esteem, including childhood, adolescence, and adulthood will be explored. Practical examples of working with at-risk and underserved students and clients will be presented through in-class exercises, resources, small group-sharing, lectures and role-playing.
