BIOL 309A - Human Physiology Lab Credit(s): 1 1 hour lab, 1 hour contact Prerequisite(s): BIOL 160 , BIOL 160A , BIOL 161 , BIOL 161A and/or BIOL 130 , BIOL 130A , BIOL 131 , BIOL 131A and CHEM 160 , CHEM 160A and CHEM 161 and CHEM 161A . Corequisite(s): BIOL 309 Human Physiology This course provides students with a detailed study of the anatomy and physiology of the viscera and organ systems. Specifically, students will achieve a strong working knowledge of the cardiovascular, pulmonary, renal, gastrointestinal, lymphatics and endocrine/reproductive systems. Students will use light microscopy to identify important histological structures from all organ systems discussed in lecture. General physiological principles and the mechanisms related to the maintenance of homeostasis will be emphasized, as well as the relation between molecular biology, gross and microscopic anatomic form and physiological function.
