PSYN 258 - Infant & Child Psychology

This course demonstrates the methods, theories and main concepts used by psychologists to develop a real insight into the world of children. The course focus is on development and how extremely important it is to be able to understand and accurately predict a reasonable norm for child development. Proper discipline, teaching styles and communication styles are all based on understanding the psychology of childhood, which changes and develops over time. The course will explore interventions that are effective for children who have been raised in difficult circumstances or faced traumatic events. Environmental stressors are also relative to the understanding of child psychology .A Life Arts Project is required.   

Only open to students in the B.A. Liberal Arts and Sciences program.
