MATH 193 - Honors Mathematics Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Cross-Listed With: HONR 193 Prerequisite(s): For Honors students only. This course is intended for all Honors Program students. Emphasis is placed on varied methods and manipulations. Algebraic techniques that have applications in the student’s anticipated area of specialization are studied. Topics will include: linear and quadratic equations; inequalities; graphing; polynomials; factoring; operations with rational and irrational expressions; systems of linear equations and others like trigonometry. This course replaces general education requirement MATH 116.
