MKTG 442 - Marketing Strategy & Branding Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Prerequisite(s): ECON 125 , MGMT 225 , MKTG 220 and MATH 122 . Marketing strategy and branding are the foundation of a marketing plan. This course will focus on understanding, developing and applying marketing strategy and branding as it pertains to target segmentation, positioning, product, promotion, distribution and pricing. It is structured to sharpen student’s ability to approach real-life brand issues from a strategic perspective. This course encourages students to think critically, solve challenging problems and develop skills such as oral communication, research/data evaluation and teamwork. These skills are essential for entry-level marketing professionals.
