HIST 379 - History of Family in America

This course will study the evolution of the family in America from Colonial times to the present. It will be concerned with such aspects as child rearing, husband-wife relationships, and the family unit as a social, cultural, and economic institution. As part of the required work, each student will write the history of their own family.
