The earliest literary efforts on American soil, including diaries, poetry, autobiography and prose. This course studies the writings of Christopher Columbus, William Bradford, Ann Bradstreet, Mary Rowlandson, Sarah Kemble Knight, Benjamin Franklin, John and Abigail Adams, and others.
