CHSC 140 - Intro to Homeland Security Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact This course introduces the organizational and programmatic initiatives for domestic security in the post-9/11 world. Topics include an overview of the terrorist threat; chemical, biological, and nuclear hazards; public safety and security; statutory authority; and measures for mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery. The course also explores the types and levels of impact that these developments have upon the national, local community, and corporate psyches of America. (Previously cross-listed with CRJU 140)
This is the core course for the B.S. Corporate and Homeland Security program and must be taken at a registered campus.
