CISC 131 - Foundations of Computing I Credit(s): 3 2 hours lab, 2 hours lecture, 4 hours contact Cross-Listed With: MATH 131 Prerequisite(s): None. In Foundations of Computing I, students will be introduced to the basic aspects of problem solving, data representation, algorithm design, and object-oriented design and programming. The Python programming language will be used as the means to implement programs. This course prepares students for problem analysis and solution design. Students will also discuss ethical and social issues relating to computing.
