BIOL 222 - Pathophysiology Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Prerequisite(s): BIOL 130 /BIOL 130A and BIOL 131 /BIOL 131A , or BIOL 160 /BIOL 160A and BIOL 161 /BIOL 161A . This course provides an in-depth study of human pathological processes and their effects on homeostasis. Topics covered include the physical signs and prognosis of common human diseases, as well their etiology, underlying causes, clinical progression, and management. The role of genetics in disease and the molecular and cellular basis of common diseases will be considered throughout the course.
