CNSL 671 - Counseling the College Bound Student Credit(s): 3 3 semester hours Prerequisite(s): CNSL 670 Practicum in Counseling This course will examine the counseling needs and the process of working with college- bound students. It is applicable for all counselors who work in a school setting, regardless of level. Some topics discussed will include the developmental process, the admission criteria at different types of institutions, and the counseling needs of “special” students. Case studies, role plays, and visitations will be used. (Previous course code CNSL 525.)
