NURS 520 - Research Perspectives and Methods Credit(s): 3 3 semester hours Prerequisite(s): NURS 514 . This course focuses on the principles and methods of quantitative and qualitative research as applied to nursing and the ethical implications inherent in conducting research. The steps of the research process are examined in depth by critically analyzing published studies of interest to nursing. The vital role of research in evidenced based practice, quality improvement and outcomes evaluation is explored. Students will begin to explore the concepts of translational research.
