EDUC 515 - Educational Psychology and Middle Childhood Development Credit(s): 3 3 semester hours A study of human development and behavior during middle childhood. Theories pertaining to physical, emotional, social and intellectual development will be explored. Analyses of issues of autonomy, social responsibility, peer relationships, intellectual maturity, societal and familial expectations, and how these impact on the ability of the middle school child to develop mastery skills will be examined. Participants will report on ongoing assessment, instructional intervention, and progress of individual students. Ten hours of fieldwork delete required.
