AI-Supported Classroom Learning: Practical Tools for Engagement, Integrity, and Skill Development
Facilitators: Dr. Naushad Kollikkathara, SofB, Dr. Lorraine Shikapwashya, SHNS
This session introduces practical, applied AI tools to enhance teaching and student skill development. We will explore curated resources to support teaching, learning, and academic integrity. Participants will explore elements of the Mercy AI Fellowship Faculty Toolkit, including strategies for prompt design, critical evaluation, career prep and ethical classroom integration. The session will also draw from the 2026 Student Guide to Artificial Intelligence, which emphasizes essential student capacities such as curiosity, deep thinking, creativity, and communication in AI supported learning. Faculty will be able to identify practical AI-supported teaching strategies and adapt at least one student-centered activity that helps learners use AI thoughtfully, critically and responsibly.
Hybrid session: Join us in person at the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) Hub, Main Hall, Suite G5, or online via Zoom.
Please check your email or the CTL Faculty Professional Development Resources Blackboard Organization and the Upcoming Events at CTL folder to register.
