PSYN 413 - Organizational Psychology Credit(s): 6 Prerequisite(s): PSYN 106 Introduction to Psychology This seminar focuses on an analysis of human behavior in organizations: both individual and group dynamics. Topics to be covered include: leadership, power conflicts, attitude formation, theories of worker motivation, consequences of job dissatisfaction, organizational climate and change. Students will apply psychological methods and concepts to an organizational setting, including personnel selection, placement and training, work environment, motivation and morale, the organization as a complex system with an introduction to organizational development. Students will have an opportunity to role-play work situations and apply what they are learning to their own work situations.
A Life Arts Project is required.
Only open to students in the B.A. Liberal Arts and Sciences program.
