MATH 417 - Mathematical Modeling (cc) Credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): CISC/MATH 231 and MATH 350 or MATH 360. This is the capstone course for the math majors. It integrates all the mathematical concepts learned in earlier courses to solve real-world problems. Aspects of model construction and selection will be taught along with the analysis of existing models. Topics may include: discrete dynamical systems; model fitting, simulation models; continuous optimization models; and probabilistic models. Offered in spring semester.
