Credit(s):3 3 hours lecture Prerequisite(s):BIOL 131/BIOL 131A, EXSC 250. Corequisite(s):EXSC 460A must be taken concurrently with EXSC 460. In the event that a student must withdraw from EXSC 460, they must also withdraw from EXSC 460A. Students that wish to take the lecture component alone will require program authorization. An in-depth study of the human body’s physiological response to the stress of exercise. Emphasis is on acute changes to the respiratory, cardiovascular, and muscular systems as well as long-term training adaptations to these systems and the underlying mechanisms. Offered spring semester only.
