MATH 375 - Digital Signal Processing Credit(s): 3 3 hours lecture, 3 hours contact Prerequisite(s): MATH 261 Lecture and assessments will cover discrete time signals and systems, the z-transform, sampling of continuous time signals, transform analysis of linear time-invariant systems, structures for discrete-time systems, filter design techniques, the discrete Fourier transform (DFT), computation of the DFT, and Fourier analysis of signals using the DFT. We will emphasize applications (e.g. audio processing and telecommunications), using MATLAB to gain intuition behind the theory.
