PSYN 385 - Research Methods in Psych Credit(s): 6 6 hours lecture, 6 hours contact Prerequisite(s): MATH 124 Statistics This advanced level seminar will focus on both quantitative and qualitative methods of research in psychology. This seminar will include discussions on: descriptive methods of research as well as experimental and quasi experimental designs, methods for handling small N experiments and statistical analysis of data both descriptive and inferential. Students will learn the nature of psychological research. Students will develop a research problem, design a research study, and be able to analyze data.
A Life Arts Project is required.
Only open to students in the B.A. Liberal Arts and Sciences program.
