ECON 190 - Honors Economics and Public Policy

This course will introduce students to the ways different economists view the free market economy in America and to the variety of economic policies and their impact on public issues. A knowledge of diverse economic approaches to public policy questions – ranging across the political spectrum – will help students critically evaluate the diversity of opinion on today’s economic issues. This is an interactive course in which students analyze the economics of social and political issues. In an open classroom forum students present, discuss, and defend their positions. Admission by permission of Honors program.
